Exhaustion setting in.....

Well it's been one week ago almost to the minute since I left mom at the hospital tucked away all nicely in her room. What a week it has been. So many people have come to help, bring food, and I have never seen so many flowers. Thank you everyone.

Watching mom today I could see her feeling some of what I am certainly feeling, exhaustion. My exhaustion is coming I think a-lot from worrying and stressing over everything. Mom's exhaustion is coming from plain old Boredom!! Jebbo and I have drug her to the park a few times this week where she took little walks and watched all the little people interact. This I think has been good for her to just feel some sunshine, see the trees, and get some fresh air. I know it has to get old sleeping, flipping channels, reading magazines, etc.

Obviously the healing is gonna take much longer then we all thought. She cannot do laundry or heavy lifting, putting clothes on over her head, or carry a purse for up to 6 mos. These are all changes for her. So not only is she experiencing physical changes and challenges she is also dealing with readjustments on depending on Al and all the rest of us.

We still have a long road to go but when it's over it will be over for good this time. No more needle pokes, experimental drugs, this part of the journey is over. Praise be to God.

Mom said the other day "I'm tired and sore but a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders". Twenty years of breast cancer studies and test and worries are now gone. I am thankful for this and for my Mom and her life.

Thank you everyone and please continue to Pray, call and visit!! She still needs lot's of friends. Tomorrow is her first post op visit so please be in prayer for her their are a few things she is very hopeful happen tomorrow which are road markers for her healing process.

In Gratitude to everyone.
